I assume you've read Theory of Poker, but if you haven't read it I'd recommend it.

I just read Schoonmaker's "The psychology of poker". I don't think it's agreat book but it's not bad either. And it caters mainly for people playing live poker which I don't.
The book that has improved my game the most is "Zen and the art of poker" by Larry Phillips.
I have two questions:
Are the books writen by Helmuth good?
I read the NL section in SS1. Is the NL section in SS2 much different? Is there a big reason to buy SS2 when I have SS1?

SS2 from what I have read so far is very different that SS1, the basic idea's are similar. Agressive poker, but the book is very different and definatly worth a read. I only read Hellmuths first book and it was decent but I wouldnt pay money for it. It has a couple of cool stories but nothing that was all that good I havent read his second one.

get ray zee's hi/lo split poker. Best O8 section you'll find anywhere. If you're feeling in an O8 mood, take a look at Cappelletti's latest one, it's pretty good too IMO, how to win at omaha hi/lo poker i think it's called.

It of course depends on what it is that you are looking to improve about your game. "Inside the poker mind" is worth a read. I just picked up Dan Harringtons book - I'll let you know.
