I see that you have won more in one month than I have in 12  (and I am happy with my results). Well done.
I got my bankroll up to $2000 and then I took out half of anything that I make at the end of the month. That way my bankroll still increases but I get to enjoy spending a bit of the winnings as well.
Hope your great run continues.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking about transporting half my roll to Party and 8-tabling a bit there for a while to see how I go. I didn't play much yesterday but I plan to put in at least 3 hours today.

Very nice progress!

To the previous issue of when an howmuch to withdraw I'd try and resist that for a while yet, though I think buying an extra monitor can be justified as it'll improve multitabling. But wiping out the roll to get a system that allows easy multitabling when you then won't have much of a roll to afford to do that seems risky.

Depends what you're goals are.

Keep up the good work.

I've been thinking about what everyone has said and will try to leave about $1k in my bankroll to play and rebuild with, hopefully at a fairly quick rate especially with my new system.

I've noticed over the past week or so that whenever I play on full tilt, it's unbelievably laggy (and i mean this in the computer technical sense) with my actions being delayed and the application freezing and become unresponsive a lot of the time, especially when playing more than 1 table. I'm not sure if this is my computer, or my internet connection (my initial feeling is that it's the computer) but I don't know how to fix it either. This is just another reason to push my way to getting my new system.

I played one HU match today and won it, +$50. I played a bit of 5/10 limit and a lot of 3/6 and came out about +$100 up with that for the day. This breaks my bankroll into the $3,000 milestone. w00t.

Wow i've left this journal for dead haven't I. Wel i'll answer your question first; i started playing Hold 'Em about 6 months ago after I saw and episode of the WPT on ESPN at a friends place and had a friend explain the rules to me. I then started playing online for play money for a couple of months before depositing to Party and it went from there. I've always loved playing cards and new the basic rules of draw poker before this, and i've always been a gambler so it works well for me.

I stopped the HU matches a couple of weeks ago after basically getting bored with it. I switched to limit hold'em for a while and had a HUGE upswing which was then followed by the not-as-huge downswing before I stopped, so that helped my roll a bit. I moved from FTP to party and made $900 in 1,800 hands playing NL50 and NL100 which is another huge swing i'm loving atm. Right now i'm playing the $10 and $20 SNGs, 4 tables at a time, and tracking my results to see what kind of ROI I can achieve.

Thanks for everyone who wished me luck through my HU journey and I might make a new journal on my poker life in general soon :)

Glad to see someone's still getting something out of this journal :) As far as your questions pokerbrat, black_night pretty much answered them - i primarily play ring games now with the occasional stt/mtt/hu tourney mixed in. I still follow pretty much the same aggressive HOH2 strategy for playing HU as i did back then and i've won like 8/10 of my last played matches, mostly because they've all been micro limits < $10 games, and on the tribeca network, very easy opposition. I think SNGs and HU tourney's are an excellent and fairly low-risk way of building your bankroll to a pretty big number fairly quickly :) Good luck.
