i'm thinking you could kick some butt... as long as you don't play against jaime.
fwiw, i think the best way to beat him is to play him at stakes he doesn't care about.
i thought about answering "jaime will win...", but i'm not going to go there until you two either pursue the obvious or jaime admits that he's actually you.

Why don't you give it a try just to see if you like it? Take the game that appeals to you most (obviously that will be PLO) and play low stakes for a while.
For preflop play, take Xaston's advice.
