OK, I haven't played anything near .50/1 in about a year, so I'm not sure how relevant it is right now because I'm playing mostly 5/10 and occasionally 10/20.
Raise KQ and AJ in late position no many how many limpers. Also I'd raise those hands in EP. Fold low pocket pairs in early position, but 88 and greater I'd raise in EP. Fold K10s, Q10s, J10s in early position, raise them in later positions. I like your raise first in theory.
My VPIP is only 13.5 but my PFR is 10.5. This is the way to win with a low VPIP by raising more and building big pots since you're not gonna be involved in many. But I wouldn't focus on VPIP too much at 6000 hands.
And to emmasdad the idea that I should get VPIP up doesn't neccesarily ring true. I think playing more hands for the sake of it is a bad move. Also please don't do the 74o thing, at .50/1 you shouldn't be doing anything besides the most rudimentary play. This is what wins at that level. Follow piers guide and you should be fine.
That said I would probably loosen up at .50/1 consdierably, Derk's 19/8 may be a little much for you to jump to but I think 16/8 should be possible
