I just deposited last week, and man the players are different than the ones at Stars. I started playing 200NL 6 max today (I am normally a full ringer), and my raises get no respect; my CBs were called all day long. It was not uncommon to raise to $8 preflop and get 2 or 3 callers. Everyone calls anything from the blinds. When there were limpers I would raise to $12 frequently and still get callers.
Mostly I was the only TAG at a table. I didn't get much for cards, but still managed to win 5 PTBB/100 over 2.2K hands. I know I can beat these games for more than that long term. I only hit a few sets and they were either on bad flops or didn't get paid off. My Ax type hands hit less than normal too...so when my CBs got called I was in trouble.
Anyway, I am adjusting and I will beat these tables for 8-10+ PTBB/100 without too much trouble IMO.
Here's a fun example of a calling station.
UTG limps, I limp OTB with , Station in SB raises to 8, BB folds, UTG and l call.
Flop is pot $26
Station bets $8. I raise to $40. He does what he does best and calls. Turn is an offsuit 7. Station checks to me, I put him allin for his last $31. He calls. River doesn't matter.
Station shows down the near nuts... !!!
Way to draw to the 4 high flush bud. Thanks for the $70.
This is one example, but I saw lots of drawing to gutshots, stuff like that. Pot bets on the turn are called with a naked flush draw all the time. And soooo many short stacks. Nobody on Tribeca wins enough to play a full stack...lol. Oh, and the passive play is hilarious. So many $8 bets into $30 pots, so much slowplaying marginal holdings...craziness.
And yes, I'm still trying to figure out how I didn't make more money today off these clowns...
