IMO it was a really bad time to bluff -- and yeah, I'm late since we saw the answer -- but if a flush doesn't get there then I always look for a bluffer -- because that's the donk's bluff -- the busted flush bluff.

With your bluff, if I'm villain...well if I'm villain I'm not in that position with QJ. But if I'm villain with AQ and I think I was ahead on the turn, I still believe I am ahead on the river. There's nothing that 2 did for you. And you had to runner runner the straight AND do it with the 4. I just don't see it.

Now if you bluffed me on the turn...I'm gone.

Avoiding the minraising bullcrap... The more I look at this hand, if the QJ guy would've been one of us, and he would've check/called the river instead of weakleading it, we would all be pattin ourselves on the back about how we induced this donk to bluff...

if i was the QJ guy the first thing i would be thinking as soon as i saw that bet come out would be ok what could he possibly have that suddenly improved his hand this much. Straight is extrememly unlikely i feel and well a set is also out of the question really.

J with a higher kicker also unlikely so a bluff is the most likely. If you had an image of being a losing player however that could have just hit his 2 pair or something through bad play i would consider folding but i would say i would be calling this be

If he checks the river, Im not betting it for him. I only bluff raised because it was obvious his hand was weak by his lowered river bet.

Mjeh. Not a huge fan of this bluff. You're repping a 4, which doesn't make any sense unless it is a specific [Ad] [4d]. No way is he "thinking" enough to put you on that. I think it's gutsy but I doubt it is +EV. I'd like it slightly better if the board paired actually.

Of course you're right that he's weak, and I'd be tempted to do the same, but my experience is that it is rare for it to work. When they bet the whole way it's too much of an adjustment for them to go to fold. They need to stop by the "call" station before proceeding to "fold".
