Okay - next one:

Here - we are in the 2nd hour and the 8th level - so blinds are 200/400 with a 25 ante. I've got 21k in chips which is definitely better than average overall - but there's two players at my table with bigger stacks - and they are in seats 9 and 1. I'm in seat 2.

In this hand, I'm UTG+2 - so both big stacks get to go before me. UTG folds, but UTG+1 limps in. I've got ATo and raise it to 1600. It folds around to the big stack and he now reraises to 4800.

What a fine mess I've gotten myself into. This guy is representing a big hand, but at the same time - he has proven to be a tricky player and willing to risk his stack with marginal hands (he cold called a 4xBB raise from UTG with T8s and pushed in with the flush draw on the flop). He's got me covered by about 10k.

If you decide to call - what are you looking for on the flop?

I hate my play - but I ended up calling and the flop was A95 with 2 hearts (my ten is a heart).

He pushes.

Did I mention I hate the way I played this? Anyway - not willing to risk my tournament on this marginal situation - I fold away - pissed that I just threw a few thousand on a bad situation.

Still in level 8 with blinds at 200/400 and a 50 ante. I've got 15k in chips and there's 3 people above me.

I'm in the cutoff with AKo and UTG+1 has raised to 1600. He started the hand with just under 7500. It folds to me, so I reraise to 4000.

Now the fun part - the BB, who started the hand with 40k, pushes all in. The UTG+1 calls without much ado and it is back to me for all of my chips.

I ended up calling and found the BB had AKo just like me and we were up against pocket jacks. We spiked a king on the turn and split the pot.

In general, I'm not fond of calling for my stack with AK - especially after the pot's been raised twice - and the third raiser is the pusher. Not much to the hand - but I think it is a tough decision - even if I assume the big stack or the short stack have AQ and a big pair.

On to the 3rd hour now, in level 9 (300/600 with a 50 ante), I've got 29k and I'm the BB in this hand.

A player in MP raises to 1700 (his starting stack was 10k) and it folds to me. I've got A6s - its 1100 to me and there's 3050 in the pot. I decide to call and see a flop of 448 with 2 of my suit.

I lead out for 3000. My opponent raises all in - for another 5605. Now there's over 15k in the pot - Call or Fold? What about the lead on the flop?

I had pretty much read him for a high ace - I didn't think he would mess around with a pair preflop and would've just pushed or folded (it it was a mid or high pair or a low pair respectively). He might've limped with small pairs hoping to catch a set - but the table was pretty aggressive about seeing cheap flops.

Well, for me, it seemed like an easy call after he pushed. I figured I was currently beaten - but with the flush draw - I figured I was getting enough equity to call.

Also - to be clear - my bet on the flop was to get him to fold - not to have him push.
