Gregor, I will PM you this as well in case you don't see it.

TheUnknownPlayer is a very well respected (and well known) poker pro, who is known to all on this board to be a great friend of BTP, and also someone who (as you would no doubt surmise if you knew him at all) is not so full of himself as to go around making things up to impress people.

By making these statements you have disappointed BTP management and members alike, as we all owe a great debt of gratitude to TheUnknownPlayer for his support.

So I am asking you to make an apology. I'm not asking you to change your opinion - everyone's entitled to their own - but the way you went about stating it was the wrong one.

Anyway, please get back to me with your comments, either in-topic or by PM.

Guys, this is disappointing.

Play nice.

Criticising arguments is OK, criticising individuals is not. That's what the line is on the SNG page of this forum.

To The Unknown Player:

Apparently my comments have unintentionally struck a cord with members of this board. I honestly had no intention of aggrevating yourself or active members of this board, as I benefit immensely from the wisdom shared by all these members. I should have reworded my comment in a way that was less aggressive. For that I aplogize, and I would imagine a player of your caliber would take the comment cum grano salis.

To Telemachus:

You commented that my posts are silly and irrelevant. I am a ring game player primarily (I am learning the nuances of tournament play, as my style seems more geared towards cash games), and I make numerous posts in that forum (about 99% of my posts), I spend alot of time to give thoughtful advice for the benefit of others. I look often to see how people react to my analyses and insights, as a player can always benefit from another viewpoint. If you see any of my posts worthy of challenge, I would encourage you say so for the benefit of everyone.

HOWEVER, your declaration of me being an idiot is FAR more offensive than any comment or insinuation I made in the thread. I take no offense from it, nor harbor any ill feelings. But, I would encourage you to substantiate your comments in the future.

My final words: If TUP has the ability to play a competitive table 'blindfolded' and win, I honestly didn't know that level of talent existed. Having never come across that screename or knowing of TUP, I would imagine skepticism would be a common initial reaction for people. I now know to avoid TUP on the tables, and for that I am grateful. In closing, my apologies to all who were put on 'tilt' by my comments.

A while ago I tried to get some of my buddies to play poker. As soon as I taught them the basic rules and strategies we played .10/.20 blind NL hold'em. I usually only looked at one card or didn't look at either, I just pretended to look at them. Usually I arbitrarily decided that I had a certain hand and would play it that way, and then look after the turn. That lead to some interesting situations.
