AA VERY ugly board ($25 FR)

Villian is decent - not great, but haven't seen anything too crazy.

This was about the worst board AA can possibly see, was my fold right then and there too weak?

You think he overbets the pot by 1/2 with the nuts??? I guess folding isn't too bad, as youre most likely behind... But, I may try to pop it to $8 and see what he does after that... He SHOULD fold JT to your raise...

BTW... am I the only one that can't see your suits??? Cause I guess that could make a big difference in my mind...

No, your fold was not too weak.

But what was weak was your PF raise...you need to pop it up to $1.50 there.

Just use the 4xBB + (BB times #of limpers) rule...and dont deviate from it.

Yes, I play $25 as well and from my experience, make it $2 here and you still get callers. I dont mind a fold there. You arnt really ahead of much maybe AQ

A fold isn't terrible here. He could be betting with a good range of hands that beat you, lots of 2 pair combos, but also hands that you beat, single pairs with draws etc.

I'd like to see where I am though and pop it to about $9. If he still want to play then I'm pretty much done with the hand

^ By doing that, you have nearly half your stack in there? Folding there you lose $1

1. I agree you need to raise (much) more preflop. At least 6, but preferably 8 or more buyins.

2. Most people will check/raise here with a hand that beats yours (two-pair, set, straight) which is an argument for continuing.

3. That board is just about as ugly as it gets for your hand.

4. I don't like putting half the stack in to "to see where I am". If you raise it would be either for value (you think he's betting TP or a draw) or as a bluff (representing AK which is a very reasonable holding for you).
