Villain was playing in my estimation pretty poorly on another table when we were like 5 handed. I saw him sitting alone here and figured he'd make mistakes here too. So far he is playing pretty well. I think he is folding his SB much too frequently and he has never 3 bet me pre flop. He's called with A2Qx with a suited ace, instead of 3 betting. We've been playing about 20 minutes. I have continuation bet and folded to his raise on 3+ occasions.

this is, of course, read dependent. based on what you said, though, i'm guessing you're WAY behind in terms of equity, and the only way you can win is if you hit (e.g., gutter) or make him fold (i.e., Xaston specialty).

i've tried playing some shorthanded and heads up O8 with some decent success (much lower limits) and its all read dependent. you have to be decently sure you can get him to fold a marginal hand and he won't call you down with tptk on this board for this to be profitable IMO. If you had even a pair to go with your gutshot, I would like this much better. If you seen an ability to push him out, its still probably neutral EV but helps your image and meta game playing heads up either way.
