Heres a previous hand with same villain.

I open raise to $35 in the cutoff with [6s]. BB calls.
Pot $75. Flop [Kh][7d]. He leads $40. I call with the intnetion of raising the turn.

Pot $155. Turn . He bets $40. I have a draw now so I change my mind and decide to call.

Pot $235. River . He checks, I "value bet $100". He calls with [5s].

Very next round.....I open raise in the cutoff to $35. Same BB calls.
Pot $75. Flop [Kh][7d]. That looks familiar. He checks this time. I bet $50 and he calls.

Pot $175. Turn . He pulls a stop and go and quickly leads for $110. I raise to $300. What do I have? And does he have a K?

I had [5s]. He folded. It just looked obvious to me that he didnt have a K when he played it that way.

A stop and go is where the guy check / calls a bet...and then leads the next street.

ice, you said in this thread that you didnt' want to raise a draw on a paired board, but i don't understand this. you called the flop with 8 high with the intention of bluffing the turn. I assume you're doing that because on the flop, you don't think he has the K. Once you turn that draw, i think you need to give yourself a chance to win the pot right then and there. push him off an 88 type of hand, which i think is a very likely holding for this opponent here. If he has the K and reraises you, so be it. if he has a boat and reraises you, then you'll be losing a lot less money than you would have if you got there on the river (of if he has a king and your spade comes and fills him up to boot). I can't imagine him rebluffing you without the king here, and more often than not, a player in his position is going to lay down any hand here not containing a K (other than 77 and 99 obviously)
