Funny I think I mentioned something similar to this in a thread to Redhouse recently.... Anyway shoud I not have popped this river here? Looking back I met no resistance on the turn but someone leads into me on the river should have raised the caution flag, I think. Or does anyone feel as though I should have raised again here? Tribeca format sorry.

There are very few "reads" I could have here that would cause me to raise this river. The only possible way you are ahead here is if he thought you were raising the turn on a draw and he had some meager holding like Ahigh that he thought you might throw away a slightly better hand by betting out on the river. But of course there is no point in raising that hand since there is no way he would call the raise anyway.

Example: He thinks maybe you raised turn with and he has but this situation is like high level stuff so I sincerely doubt he is this good to even think of this play.

Against the vast vast majority of players this is either:
two pair or higher he aint gonna fold
a busted flush draw and he is a total donk trying to get you off the hand

Either way raising has no value.

i've seen people do this with hands like or Qx -- they aren't your typical 1/2 player, but they're around.

He's a passive player betting into a three handed pot where both the other players obviously have a piece. I don't think you're ahead often enough to raise.

Make a crying call. Raising here is just bleeding off chips.

As others have said, you are probably beat, but more importantly there is no way he calls your raise with anything you can beat. He either folds or shows down the winner.

This clown is the BB and would have stuck around until now with any piece of the board based on your stats on him. I think a 2 pr comboa probably makes more sense than the strt, but either is a possibility.
