2/5 SH NL
Effective Stacks $600
Villain has been playing at 68/60/2, and his stack has seesawed like a MOFO
He has CR'ed me off of like 3 hands in 2hrs when I had marginal holdings (never better than 2pr say). I threw away each of those hands on the flop.

He is raising to $18 every hand. Twice I've had actual hands (not sure but maybe JJ once and KK once), I came over the top to $50 or so and he folded. Hand in question...

Dealt [As] [Ac] OTB

1 caller, Villain raises to $30, which is large for him, meaning he has 2 cards and 1 might have some paint on it.

I raise to $80, he is the only caller.

FLOP [Ad] [2c] [3s] , pot is $167.50

OK so the dream flop we've been asking for.

He checks, which is not unusual, as he has CR'ed me 3x.

I bet $30 into a $180 pot to entice the CR. If he had a brain, I would certainly never do this, but he obviously does not have a brain. He min-CR's me, I obviously callHis previous checkraises have been larger, normal CRS, so I am thinking that he has a hand this time.

TURN: [4s] , pot is $287

he now checks, again unusual
I check behind (not at all fearing the 5, but to make him think I am unsure of my hand).

RIVER [7d] , pot is $287

He checks again, I wait for a while and bet $130
he instashoves.

I instacall, Idiot shows AJo.

Hero scoops $1200 pot.

These are the kind of aggrodonks that are driving my AF down from 4.5 to 2.8.

Actually I have a simmilar hand from today. A few hands ago my opponent check/called a bet on a T84 flop, then check/raised all in when an 8 came on the turn. He had JTo and was called by K6s who had bet the flop naked and picked up a flush draw on the turn (GG!), my opponents hand stood up so he shouldn't be tilting.

Folded to me on the button 6-handed (this NEVER happens, I'm guessing software glitch or mass psychosis). I for some reason decide to steal the blinds with K2s because... well, I don't think I have ever stolen the blinds on this site, people play so awful so I don't think there's any point. Anyway..

I raise my [Ks] [2s] and SB flat calls with 67 behind. It's heads up to the flop:

[Ts] [Ah] [7c]

I of course make a CB of 6 into the 9 pot. He flat calls.

Turn is [2c]

He checks, I figure him for a weak ace so I check behind (you can't get these guys off top pair with a crowbar, don't even try).

River is [2d]

Suddenly he leads for 23. Ok... normally I would fear a slowplayed set/boat here but after he overplayed his TP hand earlier I figure I am good most of the time and push, he calls and tables KK!!

Of course he starts bitching and whining about what a suckout it was but have you ever seen KK played worse? I love these guys...

There's a lot of discussion going on now about this very subject, and expect to see more. For the last couple of years it's been all about aggression. Aggression is best. If you're coming in, come in with a raise. Continuation bet. Be the aggressor.

Some of the smarter players are starting to go the opposite direction. They are studying poker jujitsu, using the opponents aggression against them. I've been working on it myself. I'm probably looking like the world's biggest calling station now, sometimes.

We spent all that time and energy learning to play with patience and discipline, and it made us money. Then we learned to play aggressively and loosened up, and it made us money. Now, let's use that old patience and discipline to wait for the maniacs to bust themselves. They will. Just a matter of time. Which is exactly what I said to the guy sitting next to me the other night. A moron was having a good old time, raising everything in sight and pushing the table around. I waited patiently until the right time and pulled the trigger on him. We walked right into a big hand and I stacked a lot of chips. Just a matter of time, I muttered again to my neighbor who laughed.

While I enjoy the aggressive style, trapping style suits me way better. I can still be very aggressive, but I get a bigger kick out of seeing their faces when I slowroll them than when I push them off a pot. Yeah, some of the fish get slowrolled, which they don't know is slowrolling, and is highly entertaining to the whole table. (Only the ones who deserve it.)
