Villain and I each have $95. This about my 10th hand at the table. I have 100 hands on him, his numbers look good (something like 20/5/4) but I've watched him do some donky stuff postflop.
Villain limps in EP, I raise in MP to $4 w
. Folds to Villain who calls.
Flop ($9.50):
. He checks, I bet $8, he calls.
Turn ($25.50):
. He checks, I check.
River ($25.50):
. He bets $19.
Why do I call this? I'm checking behind on the turn because I think he has a set, so the Q should make no difference.
Very next hand same Villain min raises from EP w TT, I flop a set of 9's and win back what I lost in the previous pot.
2 hands later: I limp in LP w KQo.
Flop ($6)
. Checked to me, I bet $5. All fold except for same Villain who calls.
Turn ($16)
. Villain checks, I bet $15, he raises to $30. I make a donk call.
River ($75)
. He bets $25 and I make a steaming call knowing he has 33 or 22.
Normally I fold to the check min raise without a problem but I was still a little mad at myself for paying him off in the first hand. "Do you really have a set vs. my Top 2 twice in 4 hands??" is what was going through my head.
Both of these should be easy folds, right?
