Pacific and PT

Spotted in the forums that a bug fix is available for the network interface problem:

I was excited to see Pacific support, as I'm clearing their bonus, but I wish they didn't want $10 for the hand grabber. I suppose it's +EV, since the bonus takes a lot of playing to clear.

the software at Pacific is just so bad that I can't even stand to play there for their free money or fake money.

Yeah, it is pretty bad. I like how the "options" button brings up a window with only one option. :lol:

Over on the PT forums someone said the hand grabber works by watching the network communication between the client and the server. I think that means Pacific doesn't bother with encryption.

From what little I've played, there are some pretty bad players over there. I think it doesn't get mentioned more often because you can't multitable.

Another thing to note is that if you get disconnected and pacific reconnects, the hand grabber will no longer be grabbing hands.

It has a fix for a bug that some people with multiple network adapters were experiencing, as well as a fix for the time output being incompatible for some foreign locales.
