I think that Barry Greenstein and Phil Ivey and Chip Reese are out of this world. David Benyamine is probably on their level as well, but obviously doesn't get the recognition that they do.
For new faces I think Patrick Antonious and John Dagastino are pretty phenomenal.
A lot of people think poker is NLHE and if you're talking about NLHE, especially cash games, a lot of the very very best's balls haven't even dropped. I would take Durrr and Ozzy 87 in pretty much any NLHE cash game in the world over pretty much anyone else. They both can play a mean game of PLO as well. I'm pretty sure neither of them are terribly sharp in any limit games.
Erik Sagstrom is more or less as tough as it comes at LHE, and his results in PLO and omaha/8 lately have been stunning.
For NLHE tournaments there really isn't any question, Hard2tel is as good as it gets.
Boy, you got me confused with a man who repeats himself.
