At any table there is a mix of certain player types, and as I've been playing more 2-5 in Atlantic City and the occasional Vegas trip I've noticed a different mix of certain player types that I didn't see at the 1-2 games. I'm wondering if this shift continues at the higher levels, and if so, in what way?
For example, at the 1-2 tables I usually see a few rocks, a vew loose aggressive a couple tight aggressive and a random mix of others. But at the 2-5 I see few rocks, about the same loose aggressive, more tight aggressive players and always one to three of what I term "chasers", more of a loose passive type of player. A chaser to me is someone who will call just about any raise with just about any cards and loses most hands but gets paid huge when he hits his crazy hand you can't see coming. Personally I love these guys cause they pay like an ATM as long as you don't overplay moderate hands against them and can recognize when they hit and let a good hand go.
At the higher buy in levels do you see the same mix of players as at the 2-5? Is it random, are there more quality players or just more of the same but people who have a little more money to burn?
Thanks for the feedback,
