PLO8 200 - Two nice flops, one nice turn

Good flop, basic turn and bad, bad river. Obviously mainly worried about the flop and river play.

Flop (Board: [9s], [2s], [8s]):

Well now, isn't that a f-cking monster of a flop. I decided to lead with my monster here, right or wrong? I figured that if I check/raised I would give away my completely, and with these many players to the flop someone has to have something worth chasing.

lfs: Checks
Hero: Bets 14.00

Turn (Board: [9s], [2s], [8s], [Tc]):

I'm not guaranteed a bet here so I think leading is the only right thing to do.

Hero: Bets 50.00
Dnepr: Lägger mig
knagel: Calls 50.00

River (Board: [9s], [2s], [8s], [Tc], [8c]):

Hero: All in (130.00)

Here I obviously hate that card but still decide to bet, thinking that any hand that I beat will check behind (straight or flush) and I will have to(?) call a push.

Flop (Board: [5d], [Ac], [Th]):

Hero: Bets 40.00

On the flop stacks are pretty short so no brainer, but is it OK to raise it with this one preflop? I'm really, really selective with what I raise from the BB in O8 but being double suited I figure I'm going to hit the flop good often enough to play a raised pot OOP.

-------------- #3 -------------------

No Hand History saved for this one but from memory...

I have more than a double stack (430 or so), button actually has me covered and SB is a bit short.

Just a few hands ago I played against button. I raised and he flat called me, I bet the flop and he check/raised me off it. Now I limp A22Ts from UTG, button raises pot and a few people see the pot, including the SB.

Flop comes 56Q with a diamond. Button bets below pot and SB flat calls, I flat call as well.

Turn is [4d] giving me the nut low and a nut flush draw. Button bets 50 and SB calls leaving just 5-9 chips. I now make a full pot raise basically putting myself in.

I can't figure out if it is good or not. I had a bunch of reasons for doing it but when I am examining them I question their validity. One reason however is that I don't want to be facing a pot bet on the river with only a nut low and a pair of deuces.

I only have a bit over 25 buyins for the 200's but so far I don't think there's much skill difference so I've decided to give it a few tries. If I drop below 20 buyins I'm going back down.

don't bet the river in hand 1. he's either going to fold a worse hand or you're going to get stacked by his full-house (most likely). you should be willing to check/fold to a large river bet. or you could make a medium sized blocking bet i suppose but in general i dislike blocking bets and prefer checking.

hand 2 is standard.

hand 3 you can fold the flop. given you made it to the turn, you're now committed to the outcome of the hand. you can never fold the turn, nor the river (assuming you don't get counterfeited). it looks like villain is committing himself to the outcome of the hand as well. so in reality, this isn't much of a decision. all of the chips will either go in with you raising them all-in on the turn or with the villain betting you all-in on the river. from an equity perspective, i'd be willing to give villain credit for a better high than a pair of 2s, meaning our flush draw isn't the favorite to come in for the high. so i guess i prefer to call the turn bet, and hope for the off chance he'll check the river and we can ease the blow of getting quartered if we miss. i don't see him folding ever, so we can still set him all-in if we hit of course. like i said, though, it's not much of a decision since neither of you are ever folding.

Actually in hand 3 it is almost 300 more to him so I think there is a lot of fold equity, I doubt he was very comfortable playing deep stack either and decided to put the pressure on him instead of me.

Hand 1
What do you know of your opponent? Does he call too much, does he bet too much, etc. That river is the type that seperate the men from the boys. He really shouldn't have the boat there but if he is a total CS then he might. If he is the type to bet too much, check and let him bluff. If he calls to much bet, if he is a rock check fold. My bet is that he has A3 and folded.

Hand 2
Standard

Hand 3
Fold the flop. You have a naked nut low draw against another huge stack. Calling will only put you into a difficult position.

As played I don't like the raise. Most players will not fold an A2 there (esp on the site you are playing on) and your flush draw doesn't give you that much equity. Most likely one of your opponents has an A2 and you are either setting yourself for a 1/4ing or you are going to take 1/2 the pot and not win much.
Rhound - I got 2 outted in a $2000 pot last year, I have also broke a cup in half playing catcher. The feelings were similar.

Hand 1 I hate a river fold even to a full bet, but I dislike a pot bet just as much. You could try a blocking/milking type bet of 40 or so, he'll likely call a smaller flush (depending on read), though against a good or tricky opponent I think I prefer the check/call option here. I think a lot of mid-flush/low-draw combos will call along here so I don't like giving the hand up here.

Hand 2 yeah raise, even OOP you're giving up a lot by not allowing yourself to play a big pot with this one IMO.

Hand 3 I like the turn push. Flop call is kind of dependent on how much the bet was but in general I wouldn't want to put too much in there.
