After many months of boring myself rigid 4-tabling full ring with the crytpo weak tighties and set miners, I've taken the plunge with 6max, and...





I had a horrible start, losing with set over set and KK v AA and some others, but I've pulled it round, and what's more I reckon the average 100NL 6maxer plays at about the same level as the average 25NL full ringer... and I can get the same or more action as before by 2-tabling while getting much better reads and the bonuses still clear fairly quickly.

LOL, I've found that post, Ice. This quote from it sums it up:

"In ful ring, I sit there for hours waiting for the 1 perfect hand to stack someone and when I get outdrawn, its very hard to come back from that during one session, but at 6 max, the action never stops."

I've just dropped 2 buy ins since I posted this:

1 I limp 77, flop 997, I bet, he raises, I call. Turn x, I push, he calls with Q9 and rivers a Queen.

2 Just now, I flop a set, someone flops a straight and I don't improve.

but, unlike at full ring, I don't care because I know it's coming back to me with interest.

Thanks, it's certainly dark in here. Lost another stack last night with bottom set v top 2 when he filled up, and another light bulb went out. There are some truly terrible 6 max players, though, so I;m sure it will turn around in due course. If not, I'll drop down to 50NL, but I can't imagine going back to the mundane world of the full ring grind.
