Well, based on this thread and a good review from ed, I went out to Borders and picked this up tonight (tough book to find, only one Borders in town had it, and none of the barnes and nobles did) Looks like a good read, looking forward to it!

Just received No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice from Amazon yesterday.

There haven't been much good NL material out so far, I've read SS2 (which really wasn't all that different from SS1) and Harrington on hold'em which I think was decent but of course often Tournament oriented.

After reading 1'st chapter in "No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practic" I realised this is exactly the book I have been waiting for. It's a very insipring read and I can't wait until I can get home and pick up the book again.

Also got Angel's book but I'm saving it for later.

Can you still PM Angel through this board? I do not think his phone number made it to my new cellphone.
I went to one of his classes in Vegas, and it was great. The biggest thing to me was the way he provided a strategy specifically for the capped games which I had never seen done before.

I just recently got this and have been reading it. The start is a bit redundant for any decent players, and the section on "player types" is the same if you only play online. However, for live play, the pyschological information given on how to handle different player types is pure gold. Every word I read rang true in my head, either as reiterating something i've been doing or pointing out something a good player I know does. The advice is very solid and should increase anyones winrate playing live.

I haven't read the whole book yet but it's definitely valuable and has a lot of new content I haven't seen in other books.
