definately a tough spot, i would have to say your beat here most of the time, could be a set, flush, ace caught, if you bet and reraised you fold, you check and probably get a raise and dont know exactly where your at, tough hand i think your beat

Check-fold is probably best here.

Use my new favorite play: check and hope he checks behind. Then evaluate the river.

If he makes any real bet on the turn I'm folding.

Thanks for the replies. Check/folding would have been best.

I ended up checking and calling two small bets on the turn and river (horrible line, I know) only to see for the flopped nuts on the flop which improved on the turn.

The suited ace literally was the worst card in the deck.

No, the would have been the worse card, especially if the board paired on the river.
