Wow - full of surprises. A real wild LAA trying to steal 35c in blinds with a $1 pf raise only to be outdone by trying to steal a pot of $2.25 with an outragous bet of $36.30 - 24.25 to you! Interesting game you got going for ya there!
Preflop A-7s isn't exactly a calling hand to a pf raise although if treated like a small pair - trips or fold on flop - it isn't a totally bad play. If you miss the flush draw on the flop (2 hearts not a backdoor 1 heart) you simply check-fold. But if you do get a good flop you stand to make a nice sized pot - just don't play any aces on the flop aggressively - your kicker is hopeless unless it also gets paired!
FLOP - On the negative side, you ROI isn't going to get paid very well - only 1.09 - 1 but on the positive side you have at least 15 outs and 2 draws so you only need 0.85-1 for a call.
Again on the negative side you str8 is on the 'idiot side' as T-7 beats your str8 with a 5 but realistically why would you expect your jackal friend to open the pot with T-7? On the positive side you have a nut flush draw!
I can bet you were having a tuf time deciding however any time you're getting 14outs for what is most probably the winning hand, it should be an easy call. (14 out = 0.95-1 your going to get one of you outs - better than50/50).
Nice call. Don't forget to put a note on the jackal - something like 'over-agg pre and post flop. Raises pr with garbage. Over bets made hands/flopped str8 goes all-in!'
