AJ is a reasonable holding, but to exclude many others, decide you are drawing dead (or nearly) and fold with 2nut straight is timid even for me! Still, you have no draw to the nuts if you are losing here other than a non-spade A for probably a split and maybe 1/3 if it holds up and a flush or boat doesn't beat you. You are only in for 4BB so far so if your instincts tell you you are beaten then fold. They don't call it the 'ignorant end' for nothing. Just don't lose too much sleep over it, no one's batting 1.000 and folks who try too hard to win every pot they invest in and flop big but <nut are doomed to disappointment. If you find your instincts are leading you astray often then you can decide you're too tight and that's a hole and it has to do with your hand reading ability. But if you are one of those rare few who can nail his reads pretty often then you won't hear a lousy reader like me telling you 'don't do that'.
My luck is so bad that if I bought a cemetery, people
