Did I play this wrong, or just bad luck back to back? Both players very aggressive, bad luck or bad read?

Fold to the shove in the first hand at higher stakes, at these stakes I call against anyone much less an uber donk if I have a read.

Fold preflop at higher stakes in the second hand unless you plan on calling Cashmen pushing preflop. As played you have a horrible sized stack postflop and I'm probably check/folding or CRAI depending on my sick reeeeedz.

Hand #1: Fold PF - no need to call PF all-ins without AA or KK unless you have some crazy read and he's short, in which case I'd probably add QQ and MAYBE AK.

Hand #2: You are in early position? Fold AT.

Now, one can argue that as you get better you can play more hands, but honestly if you're calling all-in on the flop with second pair, you're not good enough to be playing anything but preimum hands. Not so long ago I was doing the same things.

Stick to the basics my friend - start rock-tight and work from there - in fact, you probbaly won't be much worse off at $10 NL if you play ONLY AK AND PAIRS! I reccomend you do so for 5-10K hands and then add in more hands gradually.
