FWIW I raise the pot also here ($14 if I'm not paying attention). I don't think it makes much difference either way to be honest, there are pros/cons either way.
I think I'd call the flop raise, and check-fold to a scary turn. If an offsuit 2 falls, I'm either going to lead the turn and fold to a raise; or check and evaluate depending on his bet size.
Against a typical $2/4 6M opponent (a read would be really handy here, obv!) I don't think you can assume an overpair is beaten the first time you get raised.
