River action with set in raised pot (100NL 6max)

First time this month I've hit a set in a raised pot and got action. What's my river play against a 25/12/2 TAG?

Pot is $143 and you only have about $48 left, right? Seems like a weird spot for him to check raise when he could lead out for $35 and pretty much be guaranteed a call. I think there's a good chance he could have AK/AQ/AJ, probably with a heart in his hand, and is hoping you'll check behind. This is assuming villain isn't the type to lay down TPTK on the flop.

So I'd probably push the rest in, unless I thought that might scare off an AQ, in which case maybe I'd bet a little less, but that would look pretty supicious. I don't think checking behind is necessarily bad, but if he turns over you're going to want to punch yourself in the nuts. (Of course you will also want to do that if you bet and he turns over . )

Also at 6 max all your sets should be in raised pots, as you should be raising with PP's if no one else has the vast majority of the time.

I found myself caught between two stools, so I bet $40 and he called with

I really should've pushed - I had him on AK/AQ/KQ, and in the heat of the batttle became overly worried about being milked by the flush. Lesson learned.

Also, Doctor: from EP I generally raise pairs JJ+ and limp 22-TT (depending on table conditions). Are you saying you raise with small pairs from EP?
