Since playing full time I've moved up to $2/$4NL but I just suck at this limit for some reason. This is the typical play I've been seeing this week. Villian is 65/34 FA1.00 he's been pretty aggressive over the last 20 hands.
Villian ($577.40 in chips) BTN
wreck27 [ 9H,AC ] ($402.40 in chips) UTG
PRE-FLOP
wreck27 bets $15, fold, Villian calls $15, fold, fold.
FLOP [board cards JD,10D,8C ]
wreck27 bets $30, Villian bets $500, wreck27 ???
The last dozens times I've seen this its either a stone cold bluff or the flush draw. How do you combat this? If I fold then he will know he can push me off everytime he has a draw.
“The real things to know is that folks will stand to lose more than they will to win. That’s the most important percentage there is. I mean, if they lose, they’re willin’ to lose everything. If they win, they’re usually satisfied to win enough to pay for dinner and a show. The best gamblers know that.” - Pug Pearson
