I sat down a couple hands ago here. But Villain just sat down and posted his blind in the CO. So I have no reads.

I've been watching CardRunner videos the past month, so I've been a lot more aggressive with my game lately (I'm 29/21 my last 2000 hands at 6 max). So I have been open raising all of my pocket pairs.

Pre-flop: (6 players) HERO is UTG with
HERO raises to $4.5, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, 3 folds.

Flop: ($10.5, 2 players)
HERO bets $7.5, CO calls.

Turn: ($25.5, 2 players)
HERO checks, CO bets $22, HERO raises all-in $87,

Here is my thinking here. I checked the turn, happy with either keeping the pot small and checking it down, or check-raising all-in if he made stab at the pot. His almost pot sized bet ($22 into a $25.5 pot) made me believe that he didn't have a set (44 at TT). A monster wouldn't probably bet that much and bet a lesser ammount to try and convince me to call.

I can't really put him on JJ-AA, because I would think that one of those would re-raise PF (Though I suppose AA would sometimes just call there to desguise thier hand). I am representing a strong hand here. Of course if they did have a set, obviously TT and 44 would call in a heartbeat, and those two hands are definitly in his range. And if he slowplayed AA PF, he probably would call. But I think I can get any other hand to fold.

Villain thought for a long time, almost using up his time bank.

What do you think? Should I have not checked the turn? Should I have bet and then folded if they raised?

I don't like it without reads.
If OP is a known floater,i.e. he can have overcards or something else here your line is ok. Against unknown you are beat on turn most of the time and it is VERY hard to make people fold a good hand.

IMO standard line would be to bet or check/fold the turn.

It's probably better not to post results (even in white text). I think this is one of those situations where you're only called by hands that beat you ie a larger pair or A6/76/65, or he may have been floating you with AT/JT/T9 and now correctly believes he's ahead of a smaller pair much of the time.

It's sounds so weak tight, but OOP with such a weak overpair I check/fold the turn.

I think because you are raising so much that opponents are not as likely to give you credit for a hand. As such, you can't really CRAI and get weaker hands to fold so I don't like it.
