Playing a loose agressive game forget about raising suited connectors. The point vs players like this is they pay you off anyways so why pay a price to be deceptive when you are doing something above their heads anyways. Your friend is right about raising KJ. KJ may be the best hand but it is a dog to any weak Ace and not that far ahead of two random undercards. In a really agressive game you get paid off when you hit anyways so why put money in the pot before you have a made hand. In agressive games pushing small preflop edges isnt going to get you an extra value in fact it just builds bigger pots that people are more likely to bluff at and cause you to make a tough decision. So you dont plan to call a reraise with KJ, since you opened you are going to be OOP against any caller other than the blinds, why would you want to get yourself in a postion to play a raised pot OOP against agressive players. Having the "best hand" in this situation is not all that important because you can have the best hand and still be forced to fold.
