Playing back at aggro p/f raiser, advice please ($25 6 max)

Hi guys, i've just started playing 6 max (2500 hands so far) and was really unsure about how to play this hand. Villain is 45/17/2.5 and has raised from the button pf the last 3 or 4 times when it was folded round to him.

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with
3 folds, Button raises to $1, SB folds, Hero raises to $3, Button calls.

Should I reraise more pre flop maybe $4 or $5?

Flop: ($6.1, 2 players)
Hero bets $5, Button calls.

I bet almost the pot hoping to fold him off here but didn't like it when he called...

Turn: ($16.1, 2 players)

The turn gives me the OESD but puts 2 flush draws out and i don't have a clue what he might be holding

What should my play be here guys?

Thanks for the replys Iceman and Jarren. I'm curious if either of you would have made the CB on the flop?

As it happens I played it like Jarren suggested and hit my straight. It got a lot of laughs at the table, but I don't know if this play is +EV at the $25 game as no one can lay down top pair, so i'm inclined to follow the check/fold in future.
