I am trying to work on JJ. It seems to be a hand that I get confused with. Thoughts on all streets. I am always "feeling around" in this situation. CR big on the turn maybe? Is my fold on the river just incorrect (maybe just purely on pot odds alone)? Villian is 48 VSIP and 3 ag. factor.

Pre-flop you should be making it $3 or even $4, and you need to push it real hard when he leads out weak to find out if you are good or not. Make it $10 when you raise on the flop and you can fold if you are re-raised (unless you've got a read or STATS or a history that would leave you to believe this guy would play back with A-x or J-10 in a spot like that).

You created problems for yourself later in the hand by not playing the hand strong enough early on in the hand. Your 2$ raise pre-flop is ok though I do prefer to make it 2.5 or 3 here. But why not bet the flop?? You raised pre-flop and are in control of the hand, keep control with a near pot sized bet.

But after you decide to go for a check-raise, you have to make it more than 4. The pots 9 after his 1, you need to make it at least 8 here.

Your tough decisions on the turn and river are just a result of you playing your hand too weakly early on. I don't really know what i'd do on the turn or river because I would never have played the hand the way you did. Play the hand strong earlier on, and make the decisions easier for yourself.
