I am results based. The result I want is to get all the chips in as a favorite. I am not saying look I had quads look how good I am. I don't care about that I just want to make the most optimal play for the situation.
I agree with leading out almost always, what if he goes into call down mode though? Do most players call pot sized bets on every street with TPSK?
Also you said a good player would call getting 6:1 on his money, I am a good
player and there is no way in hell I am betting that turn. I would not have a chance to get check raised all in. Maybe this is a flaw in my game?
Switch the hand around and give me AQ with the SB betting 4 into me and i raise it up to 12 and the SB calls!! why in the world would I bet 20 dollars on that turn? He just announced with a trumpet that he has a 4. I would go into pot control mode. Check the turn and then maybe call a smallish bet on the river.
Leading out with a set is one thing, quads is another.
On a board like this its really not. Villain is not gonna put you on a 4. You called a raise preflop, you cant have a 4! You can have A10 and AJ though cause they're monster hands.
I shouldn't have said quads, act like it is trips instead. People get worried when the board is paired. I still am not convinced the Villain immediately thinks that I can't have a 4.
I love the discussions here, sorry if I came across offensive. I really am just trying to learn and play the best poker possible. The my play was perfect line was some serious tongue in cheek.
Also I have played up to 3-6 NL successfully so I am not just a chump at the small stakes games. I am a chump at higher stakes games as well. Maybe this topic is foolish, the min-raise just seems facinating to me.
