LO8 is fairly simple, especially in really loose games after you grasp the basic and can do the math on pot odds when drawing to 1/2 pots. Play poker like the pros and super system II will give you enough background, I've read alot of O8B books and honestly none of the them helped much they mainly say the same things. Hi-Lo for advanced players may be helpful in beating the tighter games, but to me there isn't enough profit in them and too much varience for my tastes.

That being said seriously where are all the LO8 games? Stars has a few 1/2 and 2/4 games but they are usually 6-max, Paradise now only has maybe 1-4 .5/1 games going they used to have 3-5 1/2 and 1-2 2/4 games, in addition to the .5/1. Party has zero games now. Have the players just quit? Are there any decent games left out there? sorry for the semi-hijack

actually AA23ds is the best starting hand in PLO8, but you get that about once every 50k hands orsomething ridiculous like that.

PLO high only is a great game and PPLP and SS2 both have decent sections on it.

There is almost nothing on PLO8 and I doubt that the game has much future.

I think I might have to look at PLO my next game to learn how to play. Again I know nothing of starting hands in that game....And from what I've read people seem to have different opionions as to what are the "best" starting hands.

I've come to grips with the fact that I am NOT a NL ring player and have basically sworn off the game other than for tournaments.
