I've been at the table for 30 mins or so. In the first orbit I played on hand where I raised QQ and got called in 3 spots. I bet the rags two-tone flop, got one call, one raise, and one push. I folded, and the pot ended a 2-way allin, where both players had the flush draw, and the A-hi one took the pot. Since then I hardly got a playable hand so have been extremely tight.

I get [Ks][Js] on the button. There is an EP limper who plays about 50% of his hands, so i decide to raise to $10. BB calls, EP calls. BB seems relatively straightforward. We both have a full stack.

Flop: [6s][8h][9s]. checked to me, I bet $30, BB hesitates a bit and calls, EP folds.

Turn (Pot=$90): [Tc]. BB checks, I see a deck full of outs and bet pot again, villain again thinks a bit and pushes, I call.

Thoughts? What does villain have? What does he think I have?

Really easy to say check behind after he checkraises you. :) I would sometimes bet there as a semibluff, sometimes not.

My guess is that villain has a 7 or 2 pair, and he doesn't much care what you have.

I would also prefer a check behind on the turn, but a bet is reasonable. However, I think that a full pot sized bet is a bit too much. You are trying to take the pot down right now with a bet, or maybe build the pot a little bit. What you don't want to do is make a bet that will get him to push if he has a big hand.

If you make a bet about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the pot, he might fold, he might draw with a drawing hand worse than yours, and he might call. He still might push, but he's more likely to raise a smaller amount if he does raise, thereby letting you draw a little cheaper with your many outs...

Well, I can add one more reason to checking turn (apart from a board texture): stack sizes. We don't want to be in a spot when we have make a crying CALL of the turn CR. If we were much deeper I would advocate a bet on the turn, because even if he CR us, our call is fine, as we would have good implied odds (or we'll fold if he CR too big). If we had about 3/4 pot sized bet left, turn bet could also be a good play.
As it is, the stack and pot size are not good for the turn bet.
