Yeah, unless you had some advanced play in mind where you thought villain would raise a weak lead no matter what, that flop bet needs to be at least $35. I guess a checkraise is a viable option against a very aggressive player. Problem is, he's never showing a weaker A in this spot, so he either have hit his set or now he is afraid of the A.
I don't think the diamonds are too relevant in this hand; the turn is ugly, but I get it in anyway.
