Did I get flushed down the bowl?

I limp 55 UTG. UTG+1 limps. Next guy raises $6, a call, SB calls and UTG+1 calls.

Pot $26. Flop [2c][5d]. SB checks, I lead $12 (a bit small but Im hoping preflop raiser raises of course). UTG+1 calls and SB calls.

Pot $62. Turn . SB checks, I bet $42, UTG+1 calls and SB folds.
Pot $146. River . He has $75 left. Do I push in and hope he has something like KQ and not the flush? Or check / call? I cant see how I can fold

If you're going to call, you should push since a K is likely to check behind. Too bad you didn't pot the flop, or you'd pretty much be all-in now.

will a worse hand pay you off? will a better hand fold? if not then why bet?

if you are going to push aren't you better making a blocking bet or check/calling - if he has nothing (missed 43s or something) he would put more money in on a steal repping the flush and if he has the flush or weaker hand he may settle for a half pot bet or even a check if he is really weak- either way is better for you?

would he really call off a push with just KQ?

$20 on the flop and 3/4 on the turn and this question never comes up.

for one reason, I am not folding if he bets but by checking maybe I can get him to bluff the river if he doesn't have the flush. Also I don't think he calls without the flush so betting only chases him away, where check/calling gives him a chance to bluff the river with AK or some other crap

I usually don't advocate the check/call but I think it works here. It actually is fairly difficult to nail down his hand without some background info. He was UTG so I don't really put him on a K here. Since you're not folding and seems unlikey that he calls your all in unless he has a flush, I check. It allows him a chance to bluff at the pot if he missed and also, if he has the flush he may make a bet that is less than all in hoping to not scare you off. Both of those are unlikely but checking at least gives you a small chance to win a little more when you're winning and lose a little less when you're behind. I think that outweighs the few times he has KQ and calls your all in bet.
