Expected Winrates??

I've been having this conversation with a friend out here (Jim, for you guys who met him) about live winrates.

I do about $30/hr at $1/$2, but with a small sample size. He's at $21/hr with a much larger sample size--but he's way too LAGGY, imho, and gives away a lot.

Angel has stated his winrate at $2/$5 is $100/hr. A lot of people have disputed this as being possible.

Anyone want to chime in here?

From my limited live game play (and note that the games in Aus must differ in skill from the games on vegas/usa) I don't think the 1/2 NL game here is beatable ($5 per hour timecharge plus a 5% up to $6 rake - remember we don't tip the dealers though). I think our 2/3 game with a $200 buyin (same rake structure) is beatable to the tune of $25 per hour. The 2/5 game in which i've played the most, I think is beatable at about $60-$80 per hour depending on time of day/table chosen/etc (i don't have enough experience to narrow the range down any more). The rake for that game is 10% up to $6 with a $10 per/hr time charge.

I think online play is much much much much much much much more profitable than live play if you get two players of equal skill (given that they can multi-table effectively).
