Lagging it up and getting paid (brag post)

I always, always, always played TAG at full ring until recently. Something clicked and I started to LAG it up. I have made some bad mistakes but I'm learning. Tonight the cards were cooperating and I got paid big (for me).

Tribeca .25/.50 NL FR.

I got a LAG image by getting caught in some loose preflop raises. Very early I raised 5x after 2 limpers in the CO with 87o, a very shortstack OTB pushed, everybody else folded but I called and lost to his AQ. Cost me like 5 bucks. Very cheap advertising. I kept betting with all sorts of stuff preflop. About an hour into the session, the following hand happened at the same table.

Villain had $100+ to start the hand, I had ... I guess $85 or so.

Any guesses what he might have had? I'm thinking 88 but with my image maybe KJ or even AK.

A few hands later I am UTG+1 and get QQ. Utg limps, I raise 5x, folds back to utg who limp/raises, I get very worried, but then I realize that for the first time I can be sure that I really do have an action image. So I push, he calls and flips 88. My hand holds up.

A few hands later I get [4d] otb and raise to 5x after 3 limpers, everybody folds.

Many thanks to everybody on this forum for teaching me new things! I'm continuing to learn how to put myself into situations that are +EV, even if they're not the situations I'm used to.
