My Omaha Stats ~ Advice

Hi all;

Okay so I'm going to post my initial stats ... my first impression is that my VP$P is too much ... but at the micro-limit I'm content to go in with almost anything half-decent enough ... the implied odds for hitting are just to good I feel. (This is Omaha High Only). I am open to feedback though ... if you tell me that I'm wrong ... I'll listen.

So here we go ... this is about 1000 hands worth of info.

VP$P: 76.32%
VP SB: 94.79%
WWSF: 36.74%
Went to SD: 33.82%
Won$@SD: 43.17%
PFR: 13.53%

PF Aggression: 0.18
Flop Aggression: 1.9
Turn Aggression: 1.5
River Aggression: 0.97
Folded SB to steal: 33.33%
Att. to Steal: 27.06%

I haven't posted my BB/100 ... it doesn't seem to be terribly relevant just yet ... I'm actually in the down just a little ... but I can think of 4 or 5 specific hands which account for that.

Any feedback here is greatly appreciated. Also, I'm on the lookout for Omaha High 6MAX autorates if anyone knows where to find them. My search on teh interwebs hasn't turned up much.

But I think you may have missed he's playing 6-max.

I didn't know it was 6-max but I don't think the difference is that big. I believe people over adjust when playing SH.

The specific hands...

This is a three card hand but a decent one for those. I would play it in LP or the SB, but I would not call a raise with it (which is a reason not to play it from EP). The problem here is that playing this hand can lead to playing simmilar but even weaker hands... slippery slope.

TT88
SH I think this is a playable hand. The pairs are medium/small but work together somewhat.

9955
Unplayable. No straight possibility and very low probability of flopping top set. And if you do, a straight is usually out there. Dump it.

J975
Too many gaps and especially the gap at the high end makes this a bad hand.

JT87 double suited
Good hand. I'd play this to a raise actually. Your flush draws are there for protection and redraws though, don't stack off with a J high flush. You want a straight with a redraw or a straight/two-pair/flush draw combination.

AA23
I would limp it unless I could get a very big chunk of my stack in preflop. If I'm in SB and UTG raises and gets some callers, I am liable to pop, otherwise I want to see a cheap flop.

Pokerzen first thought for you is when you are learning a new game you are better off doing it at FR than 6 max.

You asked what the best hands to get paid off with are? This really depends on the level of your oppants. As you move up it will get harder and harder to get paid off with straights and flush's, unless you redraw to it. On of the keys is to find hands that redraw after being made which is the true beauty of wraps. A hand like 9876ds is not a hand you want to play drawing to a 9 high flush draw but with a flop like 543, 754, 854 with or without a flush draw you have a nice free roll, the hope especially at the smaller limits is that someone will have the same straight and let you get all you chips in freerolling. Or if you flop a draw 54 of your suit you can check raise large and you have usually forced the bigger flush draw to fold and you are a favorite against any made hand (set, pr, etc). The more gaps a hand has the less ways it can make straights and less chances you have to both flop a str8 and flop a redraw. Atthe smaller limits I have made a nice chunk of change with sets but as I moved up sets become less and less valueable since people can fold smaller sets and overpairs .
