MTT Strategy: Survive, or maximize chipEV?

I almost always get my money in when I feel I have the best hand making it wrong for them to call.

I dont think it matters whether it is 'wrong' for them to call.

2:1 favorite means I bust out once, and double up twice.

Isn't it better to make fewer chips twice, and survive once with a shorter stack?

Wel I think you're better off potting the turn, and taking the value bet route. Chances are someone with a set won't fold anyway and you'll probably milk more out of them on the river if they son;t fill up or make their flush. Most people aren't laying down sets or nut FD's anyway. By not commiting your stack on the turn you can live to fight another day should the river become ugly.

Of course it mostly depends on where we are in the tournament....chip stacks,early stages, bubble, final table bubble, etc.
