What do you guys do here? Only read on villian is he loves big pots and pushes hard. He's semi new to the table.

If you can guarantee to win half 90% of the time it's fine but I don't think you'll win half this pot anywhere close to that. Even if he has as little as AKQ2 with diamonds (one pair no low and flush draw) he wins like 55% of the time. Give him a made low and any sort of decent draw to high and he's crushing you:

A245 with flush draw has nearly 80% equity against you.
A245 with no flush draw is better than 70% against you.
A824 (made low plus gutshot) is 63% even!

And, obviously, AA has you nearly drawing dead (though that seems less likely).

In any case, it's pretty likely somebody somewhere has one of these hands (or something similar) so if you come up against any sort of pressure you're pretty likely to be putting your stack in as a significant underdog.

Even with top set here I'd be cautious (betting like mad doesn't help you anyway as you want to keep the lows IN, not push them out, putting more money in the pot for you to win a half split of) but three pair seems very tenuous to me.

Good posts. I see I messed this up. Part of this was just wanting to bust villian as he did that stuff often enough, and always wanted to play for all his chips.

I see where I made my mistake though.
