Limit tournaments?

I have to claim ignorance on this one, but I would imagine the same general rules apply as far as playing ultra tight early and loosening up later. I would imagine that success in a limit tourney will be much more dependent on the cards you are dealt than is so in a NL tourney, simply because you cannot bully people around as easily. Play your game and hope for a nice run of cards.

If you want somer reading on this, try TPFAP and some of malmuths poker essays stuff. Most of the tournaments they are refering to are LHE MTT's.

But just like in Ring, LHE MTT"S are all about maximizing your EV for each hand. There is no limp and go, there are no speculative hands. Play tight with a medium or < stack and play uber-aggro when you do come in. Get as many bets in as possible, You may only get this one playable hand, so you better capitalize on it. Yeah, with huge stackls (>50bb) you can spllash around a little, in fact I think you have to. BUt again, be uber aggro when you do have a hand, and sometimes when you don't.

Unlike NLHE, LHE is much closre to ring.
