I was 15/8/2.5, Villian was 40/12 over 20 hands, only knew that he bought in for $400 so I figured somewhat competant at least. He has $382 and I'm double stacked.
I am UTG+1 and I wake up with AK and pot it to $14. Villian in the SB min-reraises to $24 and I smooth called.
Flop ($52) 9[s] A[c] 7[h]
Villian leads a weakish $26. I found that to be interesting, in combination with the PF min re-raise. At this point I put his range on a high pp, JJ-KK.
I thought for about 8 seconds and came over the top to 3x his bet, $78.
He hesitated for a few seconds and called.
Turn ($208) 7[s]
He checked after a slight delay. After thinking for ~5 seconds, I checked for a little pot control. In no way was I scared about the 2nd seven on board now.
#1. Was this an error considering what I put him on? I checked also with the mindset that I would call any river bet as long as river was a non-scare card.
River ($208) 3[c] a blank.
He checked in the same fashion that he did on the turn.
I'm nearly certain that I have the best hand here, right?
#2. What should I bet to get maximum value?
