PLO - Not being a slut

After becoming a real slut the last 6 months I've decided to tighten up (more info in my journal: http://livepokerforum.com/forum/viewtop ... 766#211766 ). I'm hoping to get some info and discussion on a few hand/position specific subjects.

Here's my "tightened" starting hand chart:

EP - AA and KK, wraps 5678+ no danglers or high gaps
MP - AA-QQ, wraps 5678+ with one gap,
LP - AA-TT, any wrap with two gaps or less


Ok, you may say "That's not very tight you chipspewing donkey", and well, all I can say is it's *mister* Chipspewing Donkey to you! Anyway.. general feedback is appreciated and specific feedback too, like the following three questions:

Are low wraps profitable in EP?

Should you be trying to sneak into pots with KK from EP, setmining? What about even lower pairs?

Am I playing too much junk near the button? What should be the low water mark here?

This might be kind of a broad statement, but I think in PLO you can be as loose preflop as you want as long as your post flop is strong/your opponents is weak.\

Example - In PLO low limit games, if someone "announces" preflop that they have an AA hand, then I will virtually call with almost anything from any position. In position, I can bet the flop if checked to me. Out of position, I can go for a check raise if the flop hits me. If I can identify half their cards and I know that they will overplay the AA hand post flop, then flopping two pair is good enough to get it in with.

Ais - You're right I completely forgot about hands like A567 with the suited Ace, probably because it's my favorite sort of hand and I play it from any position. That should definetely go on the list.

Hands like pair+wrap (7789) and connected two-pairs (88TT) are of course also hands that I play.

I'm surprised that JJ is showing a profit in EP. Of course I assume you're a much stronger post flop player than I am.

The problem for me is that without poker tracker to analyse my game, it's hard for me to know which hands are profitable and which are leaks. I've got a really good win/rate, but that doesn't mean all hands I play are profitable, and I am playing more and more of them every day it feels like. Basically I'm a TAG trapped i a LAG's body.. or is it the other way around?

Also, here is how I feel about the "edge" on different opponents:

Fish
Against these your edge comes from playing hands that will make the nuts, since they will pay off with hands like bottom set or Q-high flushes.

Semi-competent
Here your edge comes from redraws since they will not pay off with second nut straights and simmilar, but will get it in with vulnerable current nuts without redraws, like 5689 on a 7TJ board.

Competent
Well here I don't really have an edge so I prefer to stay away.


So against fish I think it is OK to play Axs or anything that will make the nuts, but against semi-competent opposition I will also be looking for a re-draw, which means I will need quality starting hands because those are the ones who get them. In fact, I think it's the definition of a quality hand to some extent.
