I am interested on your opinions on this hand.... I decided not to post my hand just yet, but if it is critical to your comment I will edit this post and add it....

UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.75, 4 folds, SB raises to $1.25, BB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: ($3.75, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, SB calls, BB calls.

Turn: ($8.25, 3 players)
SB bets $3.25, BB folds, Hero calls.

River: ($14.75, 2 players)
SB raises all-in $18.05, Hero calls all-in $15.89.
Uncalled bets: $2.16 returned to SB.

Results:
Final pot: $46.53

SB looks like he has either AK or JJ. Raising pre-flop and then not following up with a continuation bet usually means he completely whiffed and doesn't want to bet into 2 people, or he's got a monster and is trying to check-raise. But then he doesn't check-raise your flop bet and he wakes up on the turn when the A hits, so AK is looking more likely.

As far as your hand, I have no idea. I don't see you raising any flush draw ([Kc] x[c]) hands from early position like that because the is already out there (I guess it could be ), and the only straight draw on the flop - 57 or 79 - aren't ones you'd normally raise from EP, either. Unless it's something like ... You bet your draw on the flop when it's checked to you, you only call a 1/2 pot-sized bet on the turn when it looks like he paired his Ace, and you call an all-in on the river when both the flush and straight draws come in (so you could have 79 suited in something else, I guess)

IMO, the smaller the bet, the more likely the chance you induce your opponent to call with air, give them good odds to draw, and give them an incentive to resteal back from you by CRing your flop bet or waiting for a later street when you slow down. In this example, you improved your hand, and you had position, so that is what was in favor of your steal attempt. The drawbacks to your steal attempts in this hand were an extra loose opponent who had a willingness to hand around in a hand, and a reraised pot preflop which usually means that people are more willing to stay in and protect their money in the pot.

I would recommend this article for stealing pots...it's recognizing when the good opportunities to steal pots develop. This particular hand just did not look like a good place to steal a pot.
