Playing in a $5 tourney on UB last night with 122 entrants and it got down to the final three. The button has just over 100,000 in chips, villian has about 25,000 and I have about 50,000. The button folds, I raise big with and the BB raises all in. I call. Very happy to see him turn over . Flop comes and the turn and river don't help me. Oh well. Got my money in as favourite and I'm still in the tourney. Not too upset at this stage. Playing well and one double through away from 2nd position.
Next time I'm in the SB same scenario. The button folds, I raise big with and villian in the BB goes all in again. I call again. Villian turns over . I'm in front again when the money goes in. Flop comes down and I'm drawing dead.
Still, finishing 3rd of 122 is not a bad result but....WHAT THE HELL .
Very frustrating when I played the best I could and got my money in as favourite, twice. It's these run ins with lady luck that make this game so frustrating and exhilarating. Think I might go and play another tourney now and see if lady luck will smile on me.

Paid just over $70 so a good return considering how few of these I play. Was a lot of fun and I'm not complaining about those last two big hands that I lost. That's poker. I like the fact that I got my money in twice as favourite. If I do that often enough the wins will come.
