Yeah I still tend to finsd hands with a suited A to be something I want to see a flop with. But your points are valid..hard to get paid, I'm slowly getting out of the thinking that "2 good hold em hands is a decent Omaha hand". Which I guess is part of a beginners mistake.
Although I KNOW you want a hand that has a few combinations working for it, part of me also says "Omaha is a flop game and you just need a good flop to score". Also at the micro levels people can tend to pay off a little more often as well, so sometimes you can roll the dice since you can usually get in cheap, and get paid off decent;y at times.
