i'd like to have a read on villain. if he's a CS who will call you down with a straight or any flush, then you have to play it passively and try to fill up on the river. if he's a bit on the tight side, you have to make a play for it.

if you make a play, i'd bet-turn or check-turn-raise-river (as the hand played out).

one problem type of player is the guy who had a straight or baby flush but will make you fire two barrels (i.e., turn and river) to get him to lay down -- that is, he's a semi-calling station. i'm experimenting with ways to crack these types of players now, but it's really only worth "investing" in this kind of knowledge if the villain is a regular.

folding the river (as opposed to making a play at some point) strikes me as awfully weak-tight unless villain is without a doubt a nit or a calling station.
