How do you usually play a nut flush draw on the flop? Let's assume you don't have other draws, but the flop is not scary. I can give you two examples, which I played differently. There are not many draws on either flop and in both cases I'm in late position. Is the flush draw enough to bet on the flop?
The first hand:
PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $0.02 BB (8 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)
Hero ($1.91)
Button ($0.98)
SB ($3.52)
BB ($5)
UTG ($4.08)
UTG+1 ($2.86)
MP1 ($3)
MP2 ($2.84)
Preflop: Hero is CO with , , , . MP1 posts a blind of $0.02.
UTG calls $0.02, UTG+1 calls $0.02, MP1 (poster) checks, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.02, Button calls $0.02, SB completes, BB checks.
Flop: ($0.14) , , (7 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, Button checks.
Turn: ($0.14) (7 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG folds, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $0.14, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds.
Final Pot: $0.28
The second hand:
I played the first hand earlier and didn't like the way I played it. I though I should have bet on the flop. So, in this hand there were even less possible draws and I though I could also win the pot by betting on the turn and on the river if I miss my draw.
As it turned out, in this hand I couldn't even see the river. On the turn BB bet the pot and I think I had 7 nut outs to the flush and 4 outs to the straight. BB was quite straight forward and tight, so I guess he had KQxx or more likely QQxx. I didn't suppose him to call the river bet, if there was a reasonable change he was beaten. Therefore, I though my 10 outs wasn't enough to me to call pot-sized bet (I would prefer 13 outs instead).
Afterwards it seems stupid that I didn't call with my 10 outs, especially when the CO called. Nevertheless, my question is more about the play on the flop..
