I like the mixed game idea as well, after I stepped off poker I returned by playing baby stakes sng's (HU and single table) then I played some baby stakes HORSE and HOSE on FTP. It was an interesting change of pace when I was not willing to risk $ (and by extention my sanity from a string of beats).
Now I mostly always play short stack and have fun busing other players balls cuz they hate short stacking at 2p2 with a passion. It's awsome having someone call off my all in when I have them dominated and they are drawing to 3 outs. For some reason the beats hurt less playing short even if the overall buy in is the same (don't get any ideas lol).
